Match Report Ventnor FC 1st 4 Brading Town FC 1st 1
We welcomed unbeaten Brading Town FC 1st team, to Wacombe today and knew we had to put in a a very good performance, , in this Harwoods-Vauxhall Isle of Wight Saturday League Division 1 2024-25 game, on Saturday 24 August 2024.
From the start we looked sharp, and got an early goal with EMERSON TATTERSALL tapping the ball home after a Charlie Urry strike hit the bar, we pressed and pushed hard for a second and created lots of chances but I was a wonder strike from JACK BARSDELL that put us 2-0 up from the edge of the box.
Jack smashed the ball with the outside of his foot into the the top corner, we dominated the first half with Man of the Match Harry Mulholland, running the midfield , but went in 2-0 half time.
Second half and again we started well moving the ball , showing for each other and got an early 3rd goal from striker CHARLIE URRY.
To be fair Brading then had a good 20 min spell and forced us to defend well, with stand in keeper Rio Barratt making some important saves , but Brading did manage to hit the back of the net with a very good strike 3-1.
We then worked hard to gain momentum back and did that when in form winger LIAM HARPER coolly slotted home after a great move to finish off the game.
A good week for us with 3 wins
